Hi Everyone. If you have a disability, this is the website for you. We are happy that you chose visiting our website rather than playing video poker or XBOX. We know that could be a tough choice. We are a public charity organization whose primary focus is disability employment. Check it out, simply click on the word recruitABILITY or the recruitABILITY icon on the left and you will be taken to disability employment job board. We want to help you, a person with a disability seek employment. So come, post your resume and look for a job. Remember, spelling is an important part of your resume so check everything with a dictionary before submitting it. Its free! Our goal is to get as many jobs for people with disabilities as possible. The services that we offer here at www.disABLEDperson.com are free. Free to our community members and free to employers to post resume, conduct resume searches and participate in our Job Fairs. Donations however are appreciated. There are a couple of different ways to look for a job on disABLEDperson.com . Of course recruitABILITY is our main attraction. However, if you are looking for part time work, you can either go back to our home page and look at the top of the page or you can click New Part Time Job Board, Powered by EmploymentGuide.com . Another way that you can find employment through our site is to again go back to our home page and look for at the top of the page for a link to our partnership with JobCentral.com. JobCentral.com is a JobBoard that is affiliated with DirectEmployers Association of America. To view JobCentral's jobs, Click Here. Last but not least. There are a number of companies that post jobs on our site but not in our database. Click on recruitABILITY, once you are on that page, scroll down a links to employer's job sites. disABLEDperson Inc. is an organization that also conducts scholarships for college students with disabilities. We do this for both the fall and spring semesters. The awards are now up to $750. We hope to increase these awards in the future. Our newest thing is our Virtual Online Job Fairs for College Students with Disabilities Transitioning from School to Work. We conducted our first one in October of 2007 in the State of California which was very successful. In 08, we plan on holding fairs in a number of States across the country. April 23rd, 2008 we are holding a Job Fair in 10 Western United States. We have also been asked by the States of New York and and Texas to hold Fairs in their respective States. Do you want to blog? To use the disABLEDperson Blog, you need to register with us. Don't want to blog but simply want to voice your opinion about something to our community. disABLEDperson.com now has a Disability Forum. Go ahead and vent, its ok as long as there is no cussing or sexual posts. We will delete those. The Disability Forum is registration free. Simply click on it. Our web portal is all inclusive as there are links for people with disabilities like you to such topics as learning disability, social security disability, the American with Disability Act, developmental disability, physical disability, emotional disability, mental disability, disabled veterans, disabled women and more. Food and Diet are also an important part of our web portal as we have pages that will give you updated information on nutrition, metabolism, diet and weight loss. Look to the Main Menu for the hyperlinks. Also, our web portal has a human side to it. Look to the left on the Main Menu. We feature articles that are written by the people with disabilities in our community telling us their stories. Do you want to tell yours? If so, send it to us in the body of an email and we will be happy to look at it for publication on our website. Our poetry page is a big hit. People with disabilities from all over the world are submitting poetry. Come and join us. Submit your poetry to us and share it with your community.
