The Tragic Flaw

You were to be my first dog,

My first quest for independence.

And now my dreams lie shattered.

Shattered by a displaced hip,

or was it an uncertain thought?

Was it you ?

Was it me?

Was it my Karma?

What evil thought or spell did I cast forth?

Did you ever bear an evil thought?

Or did I invoke the darkness from my karmic past with my impure thoughts and deeds?

Or was this flaw a message?

Was it a warning that life's journey is not always  smooth or fair and along life's twisted path lies many a tragic flaw.

They are the flaws of man that along our path do lie like sharp shards of broken glass or like explosive mines that pierce our hearts and souls with their sharp edges and brimstone scented blast.

Farewell my friend, my guide.
