rather live my life as if there is a God, and die to find out there isn't, than

Are we in the Last Days? This is a very good
question. I would say the answer to that is yes! we are in the last days. Please
understand though that doesn't meant that the Lord Jesus will come back
tomorrow. He could, however, it doesn't mean that.
Many of the pulpits across America are telling their members
that be prepared that the Lord is coming back soon. It could be this year
according to prophesy. That may be true. However, we need to stay fast to
biblical teachings and continue doing the Lord's work until he comes for us.
Lets take a look first at what is happening. The Mid East is in
constant turmoil. It has been for centuries. Please remember that the fighting
between the radical Mid East and Israel has nothing to do with event of today.
It goes way back to Abraham's giving his blessings to Isaac not Ishmael. Ishmael
became the father of the 12 Arab tribes and Isaac became the father of the 12
tribes of Israel. Its about a birth right. Therefore, it will never be resolved.
Only the Lord Jesus coming back will resolve this issue. Are events accelerating
like the bible talks about in the last days, yes! So are we in the last days?
Yes! Does that mean that the world will end tomorrow? I don't know and neither
does anyone but the Father. That is right. Not even Jesus knows the date and
time of his return. According to the bible, only the Father knows.
Many ask the question "does any more prophesy have to come to
pass before the return of Jesus?" the answer to that is not really. We as a Body
of Christ are waiting for the Anti Christ to come on the scene. That will let us
know that the end is imminent! That hasn't happened yet. The Anti Christ
could be living right now, simply, we don't know because he hasn't revealed
himself yet.
So what do we do as Christians? Well, I think we do as we always
do and that is listen to what the bible says. The bible tells us to keep working
and using our hands until the Lord returns. That means keep up with your life.
Keep doing what you are doing. Don't change anything except your heart. The
answer is be prepared! Be ready! If the Lord Jesus Christ comes back today or
tonight, are you ready. As long as you are ready, then you are good. Whenever
the Father decides its time, you will be there waiting ready to go home. Don't
worry about the world, let the Lord do that. Don't worry about Israel, let the
Lord do that. Don't worry about prophesy, let the Lord do that. Don't worry
about Iraq, Iran, etc., let the Lord do that. Get my drift. place all your cares
and woes at the foot of the cross for Jesus. He will take the burden away from
you. Are we in the Last Days? If you are ready, then who cares!

Who are you doing it for?
What ever you are doing, either a job, homework, playing a
musical instrument or playing a sport or simply having fun, you need to ask
yourself, Who are you doing it for? The answer to this question needs to be that
you are doing it for and to the glory of the Lord. Only then will you find true
peace and happiness in your life. We should not do things simply for ourselves.
There is no joy in that. Glorify the Lord in all that you do and you will find
peace and happiness.
Kids, before you go onto that football field, basketball court,
baseball diamond, tennis court etc, realize that you are doing it to glorify the
Lord not yourself. Remember, in Him, all things are possible.
God Will Provide
These are harrowing times. Hurricane Katrina has caused a natural disaster in
the United States of the magnitude that has never been seen before. The
devastation is unprecedented. Thousands are feared dead. Billions and billions
of dollars are going to be needed to clean, repair and rebuild.
“God Will Provide” many are saying.” I say, “God Has Provided.” “Wait” you say!
I don’t see the money coming in yet! I don’t see the workers yet! I don’t see
supplies yet! What about the looters? What about the people shooting at
helicopters? How can you say that God has provided when there is such chaos and
tremendous need in New Orleans and Mississippi? To me its easy.
I think that we need to look at what God has provided? Genesis 22:8 states- And
Abraham said, My son, God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering: so
they went both of them together. That’s right, God has provided a lamb. What
lamb? The Lamb is Jesus Christ. It is my prayer that our country pray for those
in the wake of the disaster to lean on Jesus and Jesus will provide the peace,
strength, understanding, stamina, compassion, love, faith and hope for all to
get through this nightmare.
We as a country need to pray and pray now that to survivors of Katrina if they
have not already done so accept Jesus into their hearts as their Lord and
Savior. There can be no healing unless that is done.
God has provided organizations that are at the scene helping out. He has
provided manpower, he has provided technology. It is all there. It is time for
the United States to go through a revival. We all need to get down on our knees
and pray.
This country was founded on Judeo-Christian principles. Over the last 200 years,
we have drifted far away from those principles. We as a society have taken God
and His Son out of the picture. I pray that in times like this, that our country
comes together and pray. Pray for the individual survivors, pray for the
organizations that are helping, pray for the local and federal governments and
their leaders that they continue to have the strength to persevere. Pray for
individuals who are trying to help. Pray for the sick the very young and very
old. Remember, 1Peter 4:7- 11-The end of all things is near. Therefore be clear
minded and self-controlled so that you can pray. 8Above all, love each other
deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. 9Offer hospitality to one
another without grumbling. 10Each one should use whatever gift he has received
to serve others, faithfully administering God's grace in its various forms. 11If
anyone speaks, he should do it as one speaking the very words of God. If anyone
serves, he should do it with the strength God provides, so that in all things
God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for
ever and ever. Amen. Religious Spirituality
What does the Bible say about
Abortion?
"Thou
Shalt Not Kill" is listed as a commandment in the bible. The word "kill" in this
instance, specifically refers to "murder"--a premeditated and deliberate act of
taking someone's life. It is different than other forms of taking a life, which
could be accidental, or in self-defense. God has different laws regarding
different sorts of death. But He continually opposes and speaks against murder,
especially murder of the innocent. Religious Spirituality
Do not pollute the land where
you are. Bloodshed pollutes the land and atonement cannot be made for the land
on which the blood has been shed, except by the blood of the one who shed it. Do
not defile the land where you live.Numbers 35:33-34
In Psalm 106 God speaks specifically against killing
innocent children and babies. He says of His people:
They mingled with the nations and adopted their customs.
They worshipped their idols which became a snare to them. They sacrificed their
sons and their daughter to demons. They shed innocent blood, the blood of their
sons and daughters whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan and the land was
desecrated by their blood.
When does life begin?
In Exodus 21:22 God gives a specific law regarding social
order for the Israelites. He stated that if two men were fighting and hit a
pregnant woman, thus causing her to give birth prematurely, they must be fined
according to any damage done to the baby. The fine must be paid in relation to
the amount of damage inflicted upon the child. If God would make a law
specifically referring to the rights of the unborn, then surely the unborn must
mean something to Him!
God said
to the prophet Jeremiah, Before I formed you in the
womb I knew you. Before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a
prophet to the nations. Jeremiah 1:5
The Lord hath called
me from the womb: from the bowels of my mother hath he made mention of my name.
Isaiah 49:1 KJV
Did not he who made me in the
womb make them? Did not the same one form us within our mothers? Job 31:15
For you created my inmost
being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am
fearfully and wonderfully made. Psalm 139:13-14
Do you worry a lot? If you do, consider this. The Bible
is pretty specific in telling us that as Christians that we should keep our eyes
on the Lord and not worry. Jesus tells us outright that worrying will not add a
second to our lives or change anything.
We need to focus on today, forget yesterday and not worry on
tomorrow. The Lord knows that dealing with yesterday and tomorrow is to much for
us. In the bible, god reveals Himself to Moses as "I Am" He didn't reveal
Himself as I Was or I Will Be. I am is present tense. Is the Lord telling us to
deal in the present and not to worry about the past or the future? I believe so.
Proverbs 24:21-22 (KJV): 21 My son, fear thou the LORD and the
king: and meddle not with them that are given to change: 22 For their calamity shall rise
suddenly; and who knoweth the ruin of them both?
Proverbs 24:21-22 (AMP): 21 My son, reverently fear the Lord and
the king, and do not associate with those who are given to change (of
allegiance, and are revolutionary); 22 For their calamity shall rise
suddenly, and who knows the punishment and ruin which both (the Lord and the
king) will bring upon the rebellious?
Thoughts for the Day:
These verses in Proverbs tell us to respect
authority, of course, God. Also, your boss, teacher, coach or anyone else on
earth that has authority over you. Why? because the word of the Lord says so.
These verses also tell us to avoid people who are disloyal and unstable with a
rebellious nature. Verse 21 makes it clear that we are to give
reverential fear to God. God is the one who set the authority structures in the
earth, therefore we should honor those positions. He set government authority
over cities and countries, ministry order over the church, and parental order
over families. It was God who created the home and put the husband as head of
it. He put the offices of the five-fold ministry over the church with the
apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers as the leaders. He also
wanted Israel in the Old Testament, as the first nation led by God, to be an
example of his leadership over a group of people. God's plan in the earth is one
of order, and therefore He expects us to honor the offices and positions of
earthly leaders who rule in authoritative roles. Anarchy and rebellion are acts
that are motivated by the devil. (There is a Biblical and proper way to deal
with those in authority who abuse their positions; however, it is not revolt and
anger that has a mob mentality behind it.) Religious Spirituality
Luke 19:10 States that "The Son of Man has come to
seek and to save that which was lost.
Galatians 5
Freedom in Christ
1It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not
let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery. 2Mark my words! I, Paul, tell you that if you let yourselves be circumcised,
Christ will be of no value to you at all. 3Again I declare to every man who
lets himself be circumcised that he is obligated to obey the whole law. 4You
who are trying to be justified by law have been alienated from Christ; you have fallen
away from grace. 5But by faith we eagerly await through the Spirit the
righteousness for which we hope. 6For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor
uncircumcision has any value. The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself
through love. 7You were running a good race. Who cut in on you and kept you from obeying the
truth? 8That kind of persuasion does not come from the one who calls you. 9"A
little yeast works through the whole batch of dough." 10I am confident in
the Lord that you will take no other view. The one who is throwing you into confusion will
pay the penalty, whoever he may be. 11Brothers, if I am still preaching
circumcision, why am I still being persecuted? In that case the offense of the cross has
been abolished. 12As for those agitators, I wish they would go the whole way
and emasculate themselves! 13You, my brothers, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to
indulge the sinful nature[1] ; rather,
serve one another in love. 14The entire law is summed up in a single command:
"Love your neighbor as yourself."[2]15If you keep on biting and devouring each other, watch out or you will be
destroyed by each other.
Freedom is something that we are all striving for. Paul
in this passage is saying that there is only one way to be totally free and that is
through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
By accepting Christ into our lives and submitting to
Him as Lord, what will be free from? Everything! We will no longer be bonded to the
world. No longer striving to succeed on the world's terms. Our goal will not be of this
earth but we will strive for everlasting peace and harmony with the Lord in heaven.
Do you know Jesus? Are you born again? Is it good enough to
simply know our Lord and Savior?
Let me tell you what I think. First lets examine what it means to be born
again. The bible says that those individuals who are in Christ is a new creation. That
means that you are a new you. You need to let go of the old you. Your old ways and follow
the Lord. To say that Jesus Christ is your Lord and then not die to your old ways is a
lie. For Jesus to be you Lord, you must then submit to Him and His ways.
How do you do that? By living a life that people when they observe you say
something is different about him/her. Living a life that is a witness to others. Witness
to others that you are different and that Jesus Christ is your Lord and Savior. You need
to die to self. Die to the old ways. No more gossip. No more drinking. No more whatever it
is from your past that you know would not please the Lord. A good measure of that would be
to ask yourself would I feel comfortable doing what I am doing if Jesus would return right
now. If you answer no to that question, then don't do it.
The bible says if you want to be great in God's kingdom, you need to be a
servant to all. Serve others. Love others. Always speak the truth. If you are
uncertain, ask yourself, what would Jesus do? By following that rule, you will never go
wrong. In His Name. Religious Spirituality
Colossians 3 describes what can be interpreted as a diagnostic list of
vital signs for submitting to Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Remember, when you
are in Christ you are a new creation. There is a definite death to your old life and
a birth to your new life. Ask yourself with your commitment to the Lord what you have done
with the following list. Have you buried it? Is is still happening in your
life but you are trying to control it so that you can bury it of is it killing you
spiritually? The list is : does flesh rule you? Do you have dirty desires? Do you
have forbidden affections? Do you have a destructive nature? Are you greedy? Do you
worship anything other than the Lord? Do you have a wild temper? Are you violent? Are you
wicked? Do you gossip and hurt others? Do you have a foul mouth? Do you lye?
How do we sustain the newness that we feel from our risen Savior? Lets
face it, during Easter, many Christians feel renewed in their faith. However, once the
week is over and we get back into our routines, it is easy to slip back into the way we
were.
The first thing that we need to do is to be in God's word. It is
vitally important that we read our bibles daily. Also, read the bibles unrushed with an
opened mind asking the Lord to speak to you. Next, remember the four letter word that is
the key to all the the Lord teaches. LOVE!!!! Love the Lord your God with all you heart,
should and mind. Love your neighbors as you love yourselves. For if we have love, the
rest comes easy. Religious Spirituality
Its Easter Sunday. Praise the Lord for He is Risen! So much about
Christianity is based on faith. Today is the one definitive act that is factual that is
the basis of who we are and that is the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Historically, there are at least 15 different accounts about Jesus being seen after he
rose from the dead. That is fact. If there was no resurrection, there is no basis for our
belief.
Easter Sunday for us is the beginning of a new year. A reaffirmation of
who we are and what we believe. Make up your mind to live your life to the Glory of
our Lord. Have a great Easter. Religious Spirituality
Palm Sunday was a
day in the history of Israel that had been prophesied since the time of Nehemiah and yet,
the people missed its True meaning. How could
that happen?Could it possibly happen to us
as we live in anticipation of the Kings arrival?
Palm Sunday was
meant to be a day of deliverance, fulfillment and joy.
The four fabricated
forces that disrupted Palm Sunday are: popularity (Luke 6: 26), pageantry ( Matt 7:13,14),
perspective ( Prov 3:5,6) and profit ( Mark 8:36)
The power of
Gods Word brings True Unity, Worship, Understanding, Conviction and Rejoicing.
Jesus cam to
proclaim His Love to pardon His people to punish His enemy and to please His Father and to
prove His Word.
I had the privilege
of seeing the Passion of the Christ. Mel Gibson in my opinion did a wonderful job
detailing the final 12 hours leading up to the Cross.Mr. Gibson as many of you may know by now couldnt raise the money
necessary to make this film so he put over 25 million dollars of his own money into making
it.I guess the logical question is why?Why would he risk that much of his money to do a
film that almost all of Hollywood was shunning?I
think that the answer is obvious.
Mel Gibson
had no choice but to make this movie. The
reason in my opinion is because Mel submitted himself to the will of God. Mel was simply
opening himself up to do the Lords work. Willing to give what was his because that
was the Lords calling. How awesome is that.
The Passion,
is causing a much needed revival amongst individuals who know about Jesus but have not
fully submitted to Him.If you think about
it, how would the Lord reach the mass of His people? In todays world, it would make sense that it is through film. The
Passion has been called the best evangelical tool to come along in centuries. It has
reached millions.
Critics
of the film cry anti Semitism, say that it is too violent and that the story wasnt
complete. That for a person who didnt know the accounts of Jesus death prior
to the movie would be asking how did he get to this point? To me that is the purpose of
the starting point. To those of us who know the story, we saw the movie as a realistic
depiction of what our Lord and Savior went through to save us from our sins and give us
eternal live. To those who didnt know the story, it made them curious and
prayerfully, the Lord will plant a seed in their hearts and minds to seek further.
Thank
you Mel Gibson for opening your heart, mind and wallet to the Lord and for His purpose.
Your reward will be great in heaven.

A medical error in the past caused me to begin having seizures and I lost everything
I had gained at this time such as employment I had advanced in and a marriage I was
preparing for and many other things. At first the cause for this could not be discovered
and my condition continually became worse and could not be corrected. I remembered a
relationship with God I had. When I spoke to God about this I realized I had forgotten him
and was totally focusing my life on what I could receive for immediate satisfaction within
the world. These words by the apostle Paul (Hebrews: 12:5 My son, despise not the
chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked
of him: 12:6 For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth,) helped me to see what was happening.
I quit giving my life to the immediate worldly gains around me and began trying to learn
how to be with God again. Since I have the correct purpose for my life now and ask God to
guide and direct me for this I can have satisfaction in whatever I receive because I know
it is all to receive my true life. These words, by the apostle Paul, helped to understand
this (Romans: 5:1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our
Lord Jesus Christ: 5:2 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we
stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. 5:3 And not only so, but we glory in
tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;). Now I am glad that God had
the confidence in me to let me receive some difficulties so that I could learn to be with
him and would not be like so many others still living for what the world can give them
that will only be temporary.

Intended to get you thinking...
*Billy Graham's daughter was interviewed on the Early Show and Jane
Clayson asked her "How could God let something like this happen?"
regarding the attacks on Sept. 11 ). Anne Graham gave an extremely
profound and insightful response. She said "I believe God is deeply
saddened by this, just as we are, but for years we've been telling God
to get out of our schools, to get out of our government and to get out
of our lives. And being the gentleman He is, I believe He has calmly
backed out. How can we expect God to give us His blessing and His
protection if we demand He leave us alone?"
In light of recent events...terrorists attack, school shootings, etc.
I think it started when Madeleine Murray O'Hare (she was murdered, her
body found recently) complained she didn't want prayer in our schools,
and we said OK. Then someone said you better not read the Bible in
school ... the Bible says thou shalt not kill, thou shalt not steal, and
love your neighbor as yourself. And we said OK.
Then Dr. Benjamin Spock said we shouldn't spank our children when
they misbehave because their little personalities would be warped and we
might damage their self-esteem (Dr. Spock's son committed suicide). We
said an expert should know what he's talking about. And we said OK.
Then someone said teachers and principals better not discipline our
children when they misbehave. The school administrators said no faculty
member in this school better touch a student when they misbehave because
we don't want any bad publicity, and we surely don't want to be sued
(there's a big difference between disciplining, touching, beating,
smacking, humiliating, kicking, etc.). And we said OK.
Then someone said, let's let our daughters have abortions if they
want, and they won't even have to tell their parents. And we said OK.
Then some wise school board member said, since boys will be boys and
they're going to do it anyway, let's give our sons all the condoms they
want so they can have all the fun they desire, and we won't have to tell
their parents they got them at school. And we said OK.
Then some of our top elected officials said it doesn't matter what we
do in private as long as we do our jobs. Agreeing with them, we said it
doesn't matter to me what anyone, including the President does in
private as long as I have a job and the economy is good. Then someone
said let's print magazines with pictures of nude women and called it
wholesome, down-to-earth appreciation for the beauty of the female body.
And we said OK.
And then someone else took that appreciation a step further and
published pictures of nude children and then further again by making
them available on the Internet. And we said OK, they're entitled to free
speech.
Then the entertainment industry said, let's make TV shows and movies
that promote profanity, violence, and illicit sex. Let's record music
that encourages rape, drugs, murder, suicide, and satanic themes. And we
said it's just entertainment, it has no adverse effect, nobody takes it
seriously anyway, so go right ahead.
Now we're asking ourselves why our children have no conscience, why
they don't know right from wrong, and why it doesn't bother them to kill
strangers, their classmates, and themselves. Probably, if we think
about it long and hard enough, we can figure it out. I think it has a
great deal to do with "WE REAP WHAT WE SOW."
Funny, how simple it is for people to trash God and then wonder why
the world's going to hell. Funny, how we believe what the newspapers say,
but question what the Bible says. Funny how you can send 'jokes'
through e-mail and they spread like wildfire, but when you start sending
messages regarding the Lord, people think twice about sharing. Funny how
lewd, crude, vulgar and obscene articles pass freely through cyberspace,
but public discussion of God is suppressed in the school and workplace.
Are you laughing?
Funny how we can be more worried about what other people think of us
than what God thinks of us. Religious Spirituality
Psalm 23-The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not be
in want. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he
restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for his names's
sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no
evil, for you are with me, your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a
table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup
overflows. Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I
will dwell in the house of the Lord foreever.
Daniel 9 1 In the first year of Darius son of Xerxes [1] (a Mede by descent), who was made ruler over the
Babylonian [2] kingdom-- 2 in the first year of his reign, I, Daniel, understood from the Scriptures,
according to the word of the LORD given to Jeremiah the prophet, that the desolation of
Jerusalem would last seventy years. 3 So I turned to the Lord God and pleaded with him in prayer and petition, in
fasting, and in sackcloth and ashes. 4 I prayed to the LORD my God and confessed: "O Lord, the great and
awesome God, who keeps his covenant of love with all who love him and obey his commands, 5 we have sinned and done wrong. We have been wicked and have rebelled; we have
turned away from your commands and laws. 6 We have not listened to your servants the prophets, who spoke in your name to
our kings, our princes and our fathers, and to all the people of the land. 7 "Lord, you are righteous, but this day we are covered with shame--the
men of Judah and people of Jerusalem and all Israel, both near and far, in all the
countries where you have scattered us because of our unfaithfulness to you. 8 O LORD, we and our kings, our princes and our fathers are covered with shame
because we have sinned against you. 9 The Lord our God is merciful and forgiving, even though we have rebelled
against him; 10 we have not obeyed the LORD our God or kept the laws he gave us through his
servants the prophets. 11 All Israel has transgressed your law and turned away, refusing to obey you.
"Therefore the curses and sworn judgments written in the Law of Moses, the servant of
God, have been poured out on us, because we have sinned against you. 12 You have fulfilled the words spoken against us and against our rulers by
bringing upon us great disaster. Under the whole heaven nothing has ever been done like
what has been done to Jerusalem. 13 Just as it is written in the Law of Moses, all this disaster has come upon
us, yet we have not sought the favor of the LORD our God by turning from our sins and
giving attention to your truth. 14 The LORD did not hesitate to bring the disaster upon us, for the LORD our
God is righteous in everything he does; yet we have not obeyed him. 15 "Now, O Lord our God, who brought your people out of Egypt with a
mighty hand and who made for yourself a name that endures to this day, we have sinned, we
have done wrong. 16 O Lord, in keeping with all your righteous acts, turn away your anger and
your wrath from Jerusalem, your city, your holy hill. Our sins and the iniquities of our
fathers have made Jerusalem and your people an object of scorn to all those around us. 17 "Now, our God, hear the prayers and petitions of your servant. For your
sake, O Lord, look with favor on your desolate sanctuary. 18 Give ear, O God, and hear; open your eyes and see the desolation of the city
that bears your Name. We do not make requests of you because we are righteous, but because
of your great mercy. 19 O Lord, listen! O Lord, forgive! O Lord, hear and act! For your sake, O my
God, do not delay, because your city and your people bear your Name."
