Why make that
charity car donation to our car donation program?
Equal Employment
Opportunity statistics show that currently people with a disability are
under-represented in employment, compared to their representation in the
working-age community. It is Government policy to increase the level of
employment of people with a disability and to eliminate discrimination
in the workplace.
People with a
disability who are looking for work have a diverse range of skills and
occupations. They usually have a high degree of motivation to join the
workforce.
Please remember
that your car donation is tax deductible. V-DAC will accept a used car
donation, a new car donation or a luxury car donation. V-DAC will keep
its administrative costs for all the handling, giving disABLEDperson
Inc. approximately 72% of the amount the car was sold for. 100% of the
72% received by disABLEDperson Inc. will be used for operational costs
to run our Christian charity.
2005 DONOR ALERT:
You can no longer automatically deduct the Fair Market Value of your
vehicle. President Bush signed the
American Jobs Creation
Act
into law which reduced the deduction allowed for vehicles donated to
most charities after December 31, 2004. Donations made to this and most
other vehicle donation programs are now being valued at what the vehicle
is sold for or a maximum fair market value of $500 if sold for less than
$500. More information and text of the law is available by clicking
here.
You don't have to use the Kelly Blue Book to try to figure out what the
car is worth. Please refer to your tax advisor for specific tax advice.

How The Amount
of Your Vehicle Donation is Determined?
A vehicle donation
can be a great way to get a deduction on your taxes. Thanks to a new
tax law that went into effect in January 2005, the IRS has simplified
the process by taking the guesswork out of determining the value of your
vehicle.
How will your
car donation be used by disABLEDperson Inc.?
V-DAC will give
approximately 72% of the money received from the sale of your vehicle to
disABLEDperson Inc. V-DAC keeps approximately 28% to of the sale for
their administrative costs to do business. Of the 72% that
disABLEDperson Inc. receives, 100% of that money will go to operational
costs of our national charity. In other words, it all goes to the
purpose for which you intended.
